Welcome to the last week of blogtober. I just realized that I never wrapped up last month’s read-a-thon, which is a shame because I really enjoyed it. So today, despite being super late, I’m telling you how I did with Becca’s book-o-plathon.
You can check my TBR here to see what prompts I got, but overall I had to read 5 books:
THE STARLESS SEA by Erin Morgenstern
HOUSE OF EARTH AND BLOOD by Sarah J. Maas
TRULY DEVIOUS by Maureen Johnson
LA SOMBRA DEL VIENTO by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
O HIPNOTISTA by Lars Kepler
I was super excited to pick them all up, despite having 3 chunky books to read in a single month.
I’m happy to say that I did complete my TBR! In fact, I had two 5 stars reads and two 4 stars reads, so it was a success. You can check out my September wrap up here to see which ones were my 5 stars reads.
However, I had to DNF my first book of the year: The Hypnotist. I just couldn’t keep reading it. The writing style wasn’t for me, I wasn’t interested at all in the story and no character intrigued me. DNFing it was a great decision, because to me reading is supposed to be fun and not a chore, something that I have to make myself do. And since I had some spare time, I picked up a graphic novel that was pretty enjoyable.
That’s it for my book-o-plathon wrap up! I loved this game, and will definitely come back to it sometime in the future.
Do you ever DNF books? How do you feel about that?
Until next time,
