Magicalathon TBR

Hey there!

Welcome back to the blog. Today I’m sharing with you my TBR for the Magicalathon, a fantasy read-a-thon that’s happening during the month of August and mostly on Instagram.

It’s one of those kinds of read-a-thons that has a story and you are a character within it, moving the plot along as you read. They are my favorites and I’m so excited to be participating in this one. Not only that, but I’ve also made a point to only pick up fantasy books that have been on my TBR for a while so that I can work on reading my shelves. It’s a win-win situation.

There are 4 “magical schools” with different prompts and you can either pick one or get sorted into it. I picked the school of Fae, of course, so these are my prompts and what I’ll be reading for each of them.

Once I’ve completed the mandatory prompts, I can take a few “extra credits classes” to help the Fae win the war. The options are Animal Summoning (featuring fantasy animals) and Preservation (a 2020 release). Considering the 4 original books I picked are quite chunky, I’m not sure if I’ll manage to take the extra classes, but I’m sure going to try. Still not sure what I would pick for these, so I’ll let it remain a mystery until the time comes to choose.

As always, I’ll be posting a wrap up of this read-a-thon once the month is over, but if you’d like you can also follow me on instagram for more regular updates on what I’m reading.

That’s it for this TBR. Let me know if you’ll be participating in any read-a-thons his month!

Until next time,

juli

    1. Thank you! It’s so nice that we share a name 😊 I haven’t met many Julis online yet. What readathon are you participating in this month?

      1. I’m doing the Women in Translation month which is all month obviously but has also a dedicated readathon toward the end of August. I’m also doing Dewey’s reverse readathon this Friday. I have a write up of both on my blog if you’re interested.
