Hey there!
As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been loving read-a-thons lately, which is why I participated not only in one, but two different ones last month. You can see the wrap up for the Olympic Games read-a-thon here.
Make Your MythTaker was a month-long challenge that allowed you to create a character and follow different paths that would determine your future. Even if I did make a TBR, I went off the road and changed some things while the month progressed. Here’re the paths that I chose and what books I read for each prompt.
To become a GODDESS:
A book with a nonhuman protagonist
THE DEEP
A book with a foiled cover
HEARTLESS
The highest-rated book on your TBR
THE MARK OF ATHENA
Randomise your TBR
BENEATH THE SUGAR SKY
To become FAE:
A book featuring fae
AN ENCHANTMENT OF RAVENS
A book featuring woodland
THE GIRL WHO DRANK THE MOON
A book outside of your comfort zone
TUNNEL OF BONES
I followed my original plan to follow the goddess path and then decided to also complete the fae path. So I ended the month becoming a fae goddess and I couldn’t be more excited about it. It sounds very cool and magical, even a bit mysterious. I loved taking part in this read-a-thon and had so much fun with it! The spread I made for it in my reading journal is one of my favorites, and it definitely kept me motivated to read all the books so I could fill all the blank spaces.
However, 2 month-long & simultaneous reading challenges were a bit much for me so I’m not taking part in any this month (except maybe for the Reading Rush, but that’s just a week-long so it’s ok. There’s not so much pressure). I’m taking July to do a bit of mood-reading and dedicate some time to writing.
That’s it for this wrap-up. Let me know if there’s anything in particular that you’d like to see in the blog, I could really use some new ideas 😂
Until next time,
