Last friday, the government announced the extension of lockdown where I live until the end of June. I understand why it’s necessary, but the news still hit me pretty hard. For a few days, I was feeling very unmotivated to do anything other than stay in bed and process the state of the world we’re living in.
It got better though. I’m back on my feet now, and to make me look forward to all the extra time I’ll have at home, I decided to compile a list of the top 7 things I still want to do while on lockdown.
1. Make a new candle out of all the leftover wax from old candles
2. Learn how to draw/sketch/paint, because I always said I’d try it when I had free time and now that’s pretty much all I got
3. Use my watercolors to create something nice instead of letting them collect dust in my closet
4. Start an art journal after getting inspired by all the amazing Pinterest pictures
5. Write my book! I’ve been procrastinating it forever and now it’s the perfect time to sit down and get all the words into paper
6. Bake all the things (and eat it all too)
7. Declutter my phone (the number of photos I’ve got there is all of control) and since we’re already working on that, my whole room as well
Of course, I don’t have to do any of that and don’t want to pressure myself into being super productive and whatnot when I don’t feel like it, but having things to look forward to honestly makes me so happy and excited. It’s all about focusing on the little things and being grateful for what I can do.
I hope you’re safe & healthy, and that your quarantine is going well.
What have you been doing to keep busy? Have you tried anything new lately?
Until next time,
These all sound really great! I hope quarantine goes well for you and that you stay healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally ❤

I really need to work writing a book too 😭😭 I finally have the time thanks to lockdown, but balancing the planning process along with reading and blogging is proving to be a little hard :””) Good luck with all of these things, Juli!!!

Exactly! That’s where I’m struggling as well 🙃 I’m giving myself June to read and plan, but I’ll definitely start writing in July. I think I’ll be participating in Camp Nano to help keep me accountable. I hope you get to writing soon!
