Another month, another read-a-thon to participate in. Honestly, I’ve been loving all these amazing monthly read-a-thons that are happening all over the interwebs, so I decided to participate in another one next month. This time, it’s co-hosted by one of my favorite booktubers and it’s one of those where you get to “create” your character by choosing different prompts/paths. I couldn’t be more excited!
If you’d like to join or learn more about it, here’s the video explaining how everything works, and here’s their twitter in case you want to check it out as well.
I’ve chosen to be a Goddess and this path requires me to read 4 books:
Nonhuman protagonist
The Deep by Rivers Solomon
Book with a foiled cover
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
The highest-rated book in my TBR
The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan
Randomize your TBR
Beneath the Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire
However, to make things more interesting, I’d also like to pick a couple of other prompts to make a more powerful character.
To become a witch: a book featuring an animal
Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab
To become a faerie: a book featuring fae
An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
If I manage to read all of those, I’d be a fae witch goddess. How cool is that? Now that I have set my TBR, I can’t wait to create a spread for it in my reading journal. For me, it’s the best part of participating in read-a-thons.
Are you participating in the Make Your Myth-Taker read-a-thon? What path will you be choosing?
Until next time,
This is a really cool idea for a readathon! I might actually check it out, just for fun. Wishing you some happy reading, Juli 🙂

It’s so creative! I love these types of readathons, they get me so motivated to read as much as possible. You should definitely check it out and maybe even join if you can? I’d love to see what character path you come up with.

That’s wonderful to hear. If I keep slumping I’ll have to try one out and see if it helps ☺️
