Life update #5: quarantine edition

Hey there!

It’s been over 40 days into lockdown for me now, and I admit it’s been hitting me pretty hard lately. My mental health has definitely taken a toll and I’ve been trying to find balance in my new daily habits. However, this is supposed to be a little update highlighting some good things that happened lately, so here it goes:

  • I’ve been practicing yoga (mostly) consistently and it feels so good.
  • I’m officially in love with read-a-thons and will be participating in as many as I can from now on.
  • I finally finished making my first sweater! As I had previously mentioned, I’ve taken up crochet again and my first project is complete XD It looks so cute and I’m so proud of it!
  • Booktube is everything and I can’t stop watching all the cozy reading vlogs.
  • After considering it for over a month, I finally caved and got Animal Crossing. It’s adorable and so relaxing! I’ve been playing non-stop since getting it and now I have no idea how to balance it with real-life obligations. Any tips on how to do that are very welcome.
  • A bit of a random one, but my indoor plants are thriving. New leaves are sprouting everywhere and it makes me very happy.
  • Good Omens is as good as I knew it would be and now I can’t wait to re-watch it.

I think that’s it. For the next couple of weeks, if I ever manage to stop playing AC enough to actually get other things done, I’d like to work more on my reading journal and actually get more reading done. I’m in serious danger of failing my O.W.L.s if I don’t pick up my pace.

What about you? What have you been up to while confined at home?

Until next time,

juli

  1. Awww, I’m so sorry to hear that this has been taking a toll on your mental health, although that is completely understandable! 😔 I’m so glad you’ve been able to find joy in all these other things though! I’ve actually been wanting to learn how to crochet, a few of my friends have been talking about it nonstop & now I just want to learn how to crochet llama toys 😂

Hope you feel better soon 💛💛💛

    1. Thank you 😊 I finished my first crochet project (a sweater) and it was so much fun making it that I’m already planning on starting another one 😂 it’s also great to crochet while listening to audiobooks, would highly recommend. Llamas are the best and if you ever do it, please post about it! I’d love to see it 🦙
