O.W.L.’s Magical Readathon TBR 2020

Hey guys! I’m super excited to let you know that, for the first ever, I’ve decided to join the O.W.L.s Magical readathon. This amazing readathon was created & is hosted by the lovely G @bookroast. It’s a month-long challenge that is based on the O.W.L.s (Ordinary Wizarding Levels) exams that students have to take at Hogwarts.

Based on your interests, you can choose a career you’d like to follow. Each career requires you to take different subjects, and each subject is a different prompt. If you’re feeling particularly ambitious, you can also take extra courses, such as Animagus Training or Merpeople linguistics. Each extra course requires different subjects as well. It looks like such a fun readathon, and G has put a lot of work into it. If you’d like to know more about it, here’s the video announcing & explaining in depth this readathon.

I’ve decided to be a Hogwarts Professor. Let’s be honest, given the chance I’d never leave Hogwarts, so this is the perfect choice for me. To become a professor, I have to take 7 O.W.L.s. On top of that, I also want to train to become an Animagus, take the Merpeople linguistics & the Legal Defence of Fantastic Beasts seminars. I know, I’m overachieving a little bit. However, I was able to merge some of the prompts (following the readathon rules, of course) so I only really have to read 7 books. I’ve created a TBR for all the prompts and I’d like to share it with you!

Since this year I started book journaling, of course I had to make a few spreads for this amazing readathon. It’s got everything I love: books + Harry Potter. I can’t wait to start reading these books!

What about you? Will you be joining the O.W.L.s this year? What career are you pursuing?

Until next time,

      1. That seems like such a fun career! As long as it’s fast paced I’m ok with it, I have 7 books I need to finish for this readathon and I’m a bit unsure if I’ll make it 🙃
