2019 – the year in books

This was the year of the great reading slump. For months, I was barely reading at all and had lost all the passion for books and their fantastic stories. Thankfully, I finally discovered audiobooks and they changed my life. Not only that, I actually managed to catch up to my goodreads challenge despite being super late. I found my love for reading again and got to some amazing books.

Books I’ve read this year (so far): 40 books! My Goodreads challenge is completed

Favorite book of the year: Crooked Kingdom

Favorite author of the year: Victoria Schwab & Erin Morgenstern

Least favorite book of the year: Fantastic Beasts – The Crimes of Grindelwald (The Original Screenplay)

Some stats (I’m not sure if anyone is interested but I love seeing this):

    •   Physical copy: 7 (17.5%)
    •   Audiobook: 14 (35%)
    •   Ebook: 19 (47.5%)

    •   English: 38 (95%)
    •   Spanish: 2 (5%)

What I want to read next:

  • Vengeful
  • Red, White & Royal Blue
  • Call Down the Hawk
  • The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
  • A Darker Shade of Magic

I know 2019 was a difficult year for a lot of people, me included. But I love how looking back, despite it all, I discovered some great authors and read some amazing books. Here’s to 2020 being even better.

Until next time,
